After three years as a research engineer at Saint-Gobain Recherche, Bruno wanted to move to a marketing position. He is now "Product & Market Manager" at Saint-Gobain Glass. 

"As part of my job as a research engineer at Saint-Gobain Recherche, I had the opportunity of working with people from diverse backgrounds, including marketing teams that allowed me to know the market's needs in terms of products. After working alongside them I felt I wanted to move towards this type of position," Bruno explains.

Therefore he informed the Human Resources department manager at Saint-Gobain Recherche of his wish to change his job. "I came up with a career plan directed towards marketing. Across the Saint-Gobain Group gateways between jobs are possible. After a meeting with the Human Resources Department, Catherine Langlais, director of Saint-Gobain Recherche*, and some SGGF staff, I was offered a position at Saint-Gobain Glass." Today, he has thus become Product Manager.

"Each entity of Saint-Gobain Glass has representatives in Europe, because each country has its own marketing identity. The international entity, which I am now a part of, makes the connection between them all." A position that requires his technical expertise. "We adapt to the needs of the various countries, depending on the specific features of their market. We talk a lot with R&D and we can originate new studies. Having worked in research allows me to know what can be done and in what time frame."

A career that meets his expectations and allows Bruno to "take a step back from the technology while keeping a foot in research. It is a very varied and very rewarding position: I am involved in implementing the product strategy of Saint-Gobain Glass."
