At the initiative of the Embassy of France in Australia and under the patronage of the Ministry of Industry and Australian Academy of Science, a 24H Chrono of Entrepreneurship for CIFRE PhD Student (French Program for PhD students) pilot session took place on June 2 and 3, 2016. It was dedicated to 48 Australian PhD students and conducted within the Australian National University in Canberra.
The French teaching team who led the session alongside Australian teachers, brought together seven coaches and 10 former or current CIFRE for PhD students who participated in a session of the 24H Chrono Entrepreneurship contest ® Special Edition CIFRE® in France. Invited by the organizers, they participated in the contest and help the Australian PhD students to take ownership of the creative process.
Since 2011, " The 24H Chrono of Entrepreneurship contest " is organized in France by the French National Research and Technology Association (ANRT) and Novancia Business School Paris . This entrepreneurship awareness campaign offers CIFRE PhD students whose research disciplines are diverse (life sciences, engineering sciences, economic, human and social sciences) to get into an entrepreneurial posture for 24 hours non- stop. The competition is supported by many partner companies, including Saint-Gobain Recherche.
